oh yeah, the weather...

why is it that in muncie once it rains once it is crappy for like a week? at least in the hood it only rains for one day at a time. also, i keep hearing people complain how cold it is. this is not cold people. oh no you have to wear a hoodie. that makes it cold! wrong-o. its not cold. you'll know when its cold. it normally happens when tiny flecks of ice fall out of the sky called snow. that means its cold. its not freezing until its 32 degrees. quit crying.

fall is perfect hoodie season.

I don't understand my Graduating Class

i have heard word of three of my classmates from high school ditching the good schools that they got into and going to purdue calumet. I must admit i have an extreme dislike of that school because i live so close to it i can walk there from my house. so i know how it is. These three girls are all ten times smarter than me and got in to the good purdue, iu bloomington, or some other awesome place. Alas, they are transferring! what are they thinking! i cant believe that the popular, pretty, smart girls that were all crazy in high school are scared of college and running home like wee little puppies. Especially since they all had scholarships and such. They are freakin crazy. If you have the oppertunity to leave home you take it. enough said. freakin crazy.

hammond is the place you love to hate. ew. purdue cal. no offence meant.

21st Century Breakdown

this great song by green day is the one im probably going to do my analysis on, although off the top of my head i can't think of how it relates to the novel. But, after complete analysis i should be able to come up with something. I didn't pick it just cause i like it, thats just a bonus. it would be very easey to analyze because of the lyrics. there are many variations in the meanings of the words. The entire song can be thought of in like three different ways! insane in the membrane! like all punk rock songs its got a hint of "rawr-me-no-like-government," and i think we can all agree with that.

Ishmael Beah

This presentation was not as boring as i expected. I was sure it was going to be interesting but, with my experience these types of things make me sleepy. It was pretty entertaining because he was mildly funny and he was right, it is cool to hear the author read his own work. I thought it was smart of him to tell one person who asked a question to research as much as you can and then you can figure out a way to help by yourself because this way, by doing research you can discover what that country really needs instead of just what you heard can help. Plus, the Kanye thing ws hilarious!

Museum of Art

i know i already wrote about art but now its more relevant to ball state. the art museum here is really good. it has a fairly large variety of art. it has really old statues like egyptain looking art and art from distant islands. The paintings are huge and awesome! I have already expressed my love for oil painting. there is an oil painting here that is so detailed that i had to do like a tripple take becasue from a distance i could have sworn that it was a photograph. It was so detailed! more so than the normal oil paintings. im pretty sure it was created in the 1800s in Russia. you'll know when you see it. A lot of the abstract art is entertaining. there is an oil on velvet painting that is basically a bunch of colorful words like 'mishap' and i can vividly remember'stepped on you dick'. i know, i was shocked too. in conclusion, go see the art museum. i recommend it. plus, it has a whole bunch of awesome buddha statues! also a lot of jesus paintings.

The Enlightened One

the buddha was an amazing man. for those of you who do not know, buddhism is not a religion, it is a philosophy; a way of life. Buddha is not worshiped as a god, he is just a man with vast wisdom who helps people by enlightening them. Buddha is all about gaining wisdom and living a happy life. who would argue with that?

memoir idea?

when brainstorming in class today, i wrote about my little Monkey. i know this is going to sound wierd but, one of my best friends is a mother, monkey is her daughter. yeah, i know she isnt even my child, but i feel like she is important in my life and her birth was an important event. Im sure that if i wrote it all out i would have learned something thinking back on that experience, and i believe it could be quite entertaining for the reader.

otherwise, i can't really think of anything else to write about so, ima have to go with that.

here's what i wrote in class today:

I have a very good friend, a best friend, whom I have known for many years and experienced many things with. We had known each other since the fifth grade, but in our junior year something happened that no one would have expected. "I'm pregnant,"she told me. I didn't know what else to do so I laughed. I am fully aware that it is an asshole move, but i was so shocked and scared for her that laughter is the only response i had. yeah, its not like i was the 'prego' but being good friends ,i was directly influenced by her situation. She was part of a big ol' contraversy. My dear friend joined what we called...

thats all i wrote so far. its goin ta be a long memoir.
ps. sorry for wasting your time.
